Tebel Crew è un progetto che ruota attorno ad un nucleo di artisti reggae a cavallo tra Italia e
Giamaica, ed orientato a connessioni verso tutto il mondo.
Attivi dal 2018 nel promuovere roots-reggae nella sua totalità, senza tralasciare il messaggio e lo
spirito che accompagna questa musica, con quest'esperienza è stato prodotto un catalogo di
brani originali in collaborazione con vocalist come Mr. TO dall'Italia, Wallabee dalla Giamaica,
Dasplanta dal Brasile, Stevealova dalla Spagna, I-Fi dalla Francia, Duo Seven Sellos da Cuba.
Grazie all'impegno di Jonny De Ambassador in Giamaica, è stato possibile entrare in contatto
diretto con artisti attivi dagli anni '70 quali Froggy, Devon Lion, Devon Bradshaw, Jah T, con
l'intenzione di assorbire direttamente dagli originators e diffondere lo stile e l'attitudine di quel
periodo.
Oltre a quelle autoprodotte altre pubblicazioni di Tebel Crew sono state realizzate assieme a
realtà come Dig This Way Records, Krabah Records, Axx Production and Studio, ed il progetto è
sempre aperto a nuove collaborazioni con altre labels.
Il collettivo centrale di musicisti vede Jonny De Ambassador, Abeng, Kalad, Luca Monza, Matteo
Serenelli, Federico Pessina agli arrangiamenti e produzioni musicali nonchè come fulcro di una
band disponibile per l'ambito live sia come progetto a se stante con il repertorio di Tebel Crew che
come backing-band per supportare artisti e cantanti della scena roots reggae in cerca di
collaborazioni.
Tebel Crew is a roots-reggae collective which spins around a core of artists that resides between Italy and Jamaica, but even opened to a worldwide connection. Active since 2018 in promoting roots music in its entirety, without missing its foundational message and approach, this experience has produced a catalogue of unreleased songs played in cooperation with singers and lyricists like Mr. TO from Italy, Wallabee from Jamaica, Dasplanta from Brazil, Stevealova from Spain, I-Fi from France, Duo Seven Sellos from Cuba. Thanks to Jonny De Ambassadors, the project is in touch with some hidden but great Jamaican elders such as Froggy, Devon Lion, Devon Bradshaw and Jah T, cultivating the heritage straight from the originators and spreading the most authentic ‘70s rootical sound and attitude.
In addition to the self-produced material, other songs have been released in cooperation with different musical experiences like Dig This Way Records, Krabah Records, Axx Production and Studio, so Tebel Crew is always open to work with new labels and musical projects. The main collective of musicians consists of Jonny, Abeng, Kalad, Luca Monza, Matteo Serenelli and Federico Pessina working together on conceiving the arrangement and productions, and at the same time they are available for live shows and also glad to work as a quality backing band for other artists.
